BIZLINK will assist you to find the right job by speaking to employers, matching your skills to vacancies, preparing resumes, supporting you in interviews and assisting you to complete job applications.

SUPPORT

BIZLINK will assist you to learn your job and feel comfortable at work by providing support that meets your individual needs. This may include on-the-job training, off-site support, guidance, encouragement, advocacy and linking you with other services. BIZLINK can assist you to become part of the team and to perform the job to your employer's expectations.

BIZLINK CAN ASSIST YOU WITH:

  • Using public transport to your job, work experience or course that is supported by BIZLINK and agreed on your plan.
  • Learning job interview skills.
  • Resumes and job applications.
  • Gaining work skills through work experience and courses.
  • Advice about recreation and social activities.
  • Learning occupational health and safety procedures.
  • Performing your job to your employer's expectations.
  • Becoming part of the team where you work.
  • Modifying the workplace or buying special equipment (as required / approved).

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility is usually determined by a Job Capacity Assessment. Some of the key eligibility requirements for BIZLINK services are that a person with disability is:

  • Working age.
  • Meeting DEEWR / Centrelink eligibility criteria which may include a Job Capacity Assessment.
  • Motivated to work.
  • Willing to accept job-related support from BIZLINK.
  • Supported by their family (or significant other) to seek employment.
  • Able to travel independent from BIZLINK (following transport training if required).
  • Living in BIZLINK's service area: Capped services – Central Perth, North Metro Perth and East Metro Perth and Uncapped services North Metro.
